THAT BEING SAID: remember, just because you don’t have a character reserved to write an introductory post about doesn’t mean you can’t post about them at all! this is just an appreciation month, so feel free to post pictures, panels, and photosets of your favorite underappreciated ladies on their **official** day!
and I know that there are a lot of ladies who didn’t make it onto the list, which is getting a little crowded so I’m hesitant about adding more, but that doesn’t mean you can’t talk about them too! maybe on a day with characters that are related to them, or, you know, whenever the heck you want, you can post and appreciate those great ladies who are missing from the **official** list. the same goes for the Big Names at the end - I know that, for instance, Wanda is a Big Name but she is definitely under-appreciated by the fandom and in the comics, so if you’d like to post about her before the end of the month, that’s fine too! I figured this would be the kind of thing to keep loose more than structured, because it’s an appreciation month, you know? also, I’m not reserving any of the Big Name ladies for intro posts, since the fact that they are Big Names means that most people probably know about them; but if you want to post an intro post about one of those ladies anyway, feel free to do so! you can do it on the last day or during the rest of the month. as long as you put it in the tag I know I at least will reblog it!
anyway, the whole point is to appreciate ladies and have fun, so i hope that when august rolls around we can do just that! and keep checking this post to see who’s reserved and who hasn’t been yet!

stephen’s actually naked all the time when he’s not wearing his sorcerer’s outfit. because he’s so used to just putting clothes on through illusion that’s just how he rolls anymore.

i love this but in my headcanon strange is so vain that he wants to have the nicest clothes everrrr like sharper suits than everyone, but they also have to be unique becuase SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE STRANGE but he’s really busy and doenst have time. he doens’t trust anyone else to have his ~*fashions sense*~ so he magicclones a version of himself specifically just to go visit all the runways and get the sharpest suits and sometimes he hangs out with his clone and he is like GOD THIS ASSHOLE IS SO VAPID…and yet…strangely…attractive because he’s forgotten its his clone (he has so many clones for inane reasons how can he keep track) and he’s inching closer and wong is like “…sir?” but why does he even try anymore. why.
in retrospect this could work with your headcanon. why not. he could sitl lhave all the clothes and forget to put them on
that’s a fun headcanon! tho my only problem with it is stephen’s tendency to wear ugly clothes. hahaha maybe he thinks they’re stylish. there was that time he illusioned clothes on him and clea.. and was like “these are the style on the latest *something something* magazine” and people were like “wow, so ~*~stylish~*~”
and there is something to that tho because of those two “clones” of himself he made in V3. and that one was basically a copy of the greedy and vain stephen. he always had to look nice and shit. so yeah

ok so
people have made a lot of really good criticisms of things man of steel got wrong but i want to talk about one thing i think it got right
when zod shows up he tells earth that if they dont hand over superman, he will destroy them. and so superman’s dilemma first is—should he go to zod? because if zod is telling the truth, then he could save the planet. but if he plans to harm earth, then superman going to him is the worst plan, because he is earth’s best defense
superman’s gut tells him that zod is probably lying. he also has knowledge that the army doesn’t have about zod’s character. and with most superheroes, here is where they would come up with some plan on their own on about how to defeat zod. maybe they’d work with the army. maybe they’d trick them. who knows. the point is, they would take charge and do it themselves
but here’s the thing about superman. this is how he solves the second dilemma—the one that other superheroes don’t even think about—about whether or not its his place to even make that decision.
he doesn’t make decisions like that for the planet if he can help it. he goes to humanity, when he’s not even sure he can trust them, and he allows them to make their own decision about their fate.
he is the strongest man in the universe and he allows them to put him in handcuffs and tell him to march to what could be his death (and possibly theirs too)—because he knows its not all about him and just because he is stronger and knows more, it doesn’t mean that he gets to tell people what to do.
THIS IS WHY I LOVE SUPERMAN and i’m so glad that was in the movie
(its inclusion makes superman being completely unaffected by the wholesale destruction of metropolis even more baffling)
